Presented by Woman's Circle of Friends
Don’t miss an evening of fun Saturday, August 23 with great food and entertainment. Bid on original, one-of-a-kind chairs.

Community Care Fund at Woman’s Hospital
Targeting Specific Needs of Women and Infants
The Community Care Fund was established to help us continue to offer vital programs that are currently subsidized by the hospital. Your donation will help offset these expenses, and enable us to positively impact the lives of more women, infants and their families for years to come.

    • Care for Victims of Sexual Assault
    • Neurodevelopmental Clinic
    • Special Needs Assistance for Patients

    Founders & Friends Endowment Society
The Woman’s Hospital Founders & Friends Endowment Society exists to secure unrestricted funds for Woman’s and expand its donor base. The endowment also helps to provide a reliable source of funds to assist with the ongoing current needs of the hospital.

    Memorial Giving Program
Memorial gifts are tributes that, like memories of our loved ones who have passed away, will go on forever. These gifts recognize the honoree in a profound and everlasting way.

    Tribute Giving Program
Many of us struggle to find lasting ways to recognize colleagues and co-workers at holidays, birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions. One way is a tribute in their name to Woman’s Hospital Foundation. A gift in the name of a friend or loved one is a meaningful way to honor their life and leave a lasting impression on Woman’s Hospital, the patients we care for and the services we provide. Tribute gifts can also be made to recognize a caregiver for exceptional service.

    A Gift to the NICU
Your contribution to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is deeply appreciated by our staff and the families of our patients. Your gift is welcome whether as a gift contribution, or as a memorial or tribute.

    Hall of Stars

Parents, grandparents, godparents, relatives, co-workers, employers and friends have the opportunity to permanently recognize the special occasion of a baby’s birth. Currently, nearly 2,000 stars are displayed in the Woman’s Hospital Hall of Stars. Each star is individually hand-painted and inscribed with the child’s name and date of birth. Also, each star represents a donation that helps to further the mission of Woman’s Hospital.

It is located on the second floor in the hallway outside the Labor and Delivery Unit. You can purchase a star to commemorate your baby’s birth. Each beautiful ceramic star is individually hand painted and inscribed with your child’s name and date of birth. Call 225-924-8103.

    Planned Giving Programs

    Estate Giving
A bequest allows you to support the mission of Woman’s Hospital beyond your lifetime, while reducing your taxable estate. Through your will, an addendum to an existing will or a living trust, you can give Woman’s Hospital Foundation a specific dollar amount, a specific asset or a percentage of your estate, which can include stocks, bonds, CDs, real estate, vehicles, art, jewelry and other personal property. A residuary bequest gives the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been made. A contingent bequest makes a gift to Woman’s should your named beneficiaries not survive you.

Contact the Development Office and simply inform them that Woman’s Hospital Foundation has been placed in your will. You will become a member of The Legacy Society and be recognized each year in the Woman’s Hospital Annual Report.

    Life Income Gifts
A variety of Life Income Gift plans allow you to make a substantial gift while still receiving income for your life and/or that of a spouse or other loved one. Life Income Gifts provide you an opportunity to support Woman’s Hospital while still maintaining your financial security.

    Retirement Plan Gifts
A gift of your retirement plan can be made by naming Woman’s Hospital Foundation as a beneficiary of the policy.

    Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance can be made by naming Woman’s Hospital Foundation as the beneficiary of the policy. Or, in cases where a policy has outlived its initial purpose, consider giving the policy to Woman’s Hospital.

    Charitable Lead Trust
This is a trust that creates a contribution for Woman’s Hospital Foundation today and eventually the trust assets go to a designated individual such as you, the donor or your loved ones. This trust basically provides payment to Woman’s Hospital for a stipulated period of time, a payment that is free from Federal gift and estate taxes.

    Signature Opportunities
Not only are there opportunities to support the immediate needs of Woman's Hospital Foundation, but there are other ways to honor or memorialize a loved one in a permanent way. Woman's Hospital offers a multitude of unique opportunities for naming programs and projects that help support our mission to improve the health of women and infants.
